I finally got out of the office today & was able to scrap a page! I took this class at Miss Arts by Lisa Valentine. I decided to do it for the heritage challenge @ the Scrapping the Moments. I also used the kit from Miss Art's.

Last night I did the sketch for Friday Fast Trak. We have FFT every week at the Moments. We used a sketch from Savvy Sketches & this is my LO. I used AC cardstock for the base & the papers are MME. I cut out the middle of my large frame with the Cameo & also made the doily from the Cameo also. The roses are from Prima. TFL

Yesterday was a very sad day for me & my DH. We lost our beloved fur baby Ginger. She brought us so much joy,love & companionship for the last 14yrs.

I worked in my scraproom this morning probably the last time until Monday. I used AC card stock in red & cut out the die-cut using the cameo & a file from the silhouette store. I glued that to the black bazzil card stock. I used a Prima lamp post & prima flowers, I painted the arch frame from Dusty Attic white & then sprayed with some white My Huey mist. The leaf flourish I cut with the cameo.
I hope you are all ready for the holiday, only a few more days.

I scraplifted a LO from the Kaisercraft workshop magazine & used the Bonjour paper line from them. I thought it was perfect for the pictures I got of my GD Haley on Sunday we visited the Magical Wings butterfly conservatory, if you can see there was a butterfly on her shirt.

Hi I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday. Ours was very good we had our sons, DILs, & granddaughters here. I really enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.Saturday I went to the Scrapaholics scrap book store in Claremont. We made 10 holiday projects, we had a ball!! Barbi & her team served lunch, desserts & little goodies through out the day. I won a free class!!! woot woot!! I thought I'd share 9 of the projects we did, the other one is a LO( I forgot to put it in the picture)LOL!!I hope you are all doing well. :)

Hello blog friends!! I am getting lax in my blogging, life gets in my way. Here is a LO I made of Chloe this A.M. She was the cutest little witch!! I made the flaying witch using an svg file(sorry I forgot where I got it) & the cricut I cut it out on chipboard, then I painted it black & stamped it & brushed on some perfect pearls & embossed it with utee. I will be getting the Cameo Silhouette on Monday!!! I can't wait.I hope you all have a great day & please remember to honor our veterans tomorrow.

On Saturday I took a class at Scrapaholics on 44 Pleasant St in Claremont,NH. The very talented Barbie taught the class. We made 3 tags & did different techniques. Barbie has some awesome classes coming up so check her out

Today I played a little with some paint, ink, & perfect pearls. I watched a video on you tube using utee & making these great chip board pieces by Jules. But I only had pearl utee & it wouldn't work well for what I wanted to do, so I used glossy accents instead. If you would like a little written tut for what I did check it out hereOn Friday night for our sketch challenge I did this lo of Chloes pumpkin that her dad helped her to carve.

Well tomorrow will be the last day of the 12 days of Halloween at the Moments. We had so much fun doing these, that we are trying to talk Jess into doing one for Christmas. The reveal of our LOs will be tomorrow, so stop by & check them out!!!

I was inspired by a sketch I saw at scraps of darkness. I used a very old piece of Halloween paper from Dream Street, SA stamps & Studio 490 stamps to stamp the bg orange c/s. I machine stitched around the black circle. The black crochet flower I got in a RAK from Janet. The pumpkin was a die & stamp I bought from Scrapholics in Claremont NH.The mask is from Th.

October surprise challenge

My surprise challenge at Scrapping the Moments for Oct. Is to do a masculine page, using stuff you would find in a hard ware store.I used Kraft c/s, Then inked a Crafters Workshop brick template, I then used glimmer mist on a mask of Tim Holtz gears, I also used a piece of Dusty Attic chicken wire as a mask. I used an SVG file from papause at Craft edge forum & cut those out. I used Ranger crackled paint & painted them & then used TH distress ink on them.I used a piece of burlap & duct tape to mat my photo & then used drywall tape to frame the photo & pieces of Crate farmhouse paper & AC thickers for the title.If you are looking for some inspiration stop by the Moments to check out the challenges.And there is going to be a special Halloween challenge "12 Days of Halloween" starting on Oct. 20, make sure you sign up for that. Yes, the last couple of days here have been so beautiful! The colors are finally started to pop & we are having our Indiana summer. I did this LO this morning with a pic I took yesterday in our yard of our GDs. I used my MCS kit of Crate Papers Farmhouse collection, it is yummy!!I also made the scarecrow form a SVG file from SVG cuts.

The sun was shining today, some of the trees have started to change just a little bit. The foliage is going to be later this year. We need to have a couple of good frosts before the leaves will change. At least that is what my hubby tells me. :)We went to watch our gd Haley, who is on a cheerleader team for pee-wee football. Those girls do a great job!!! Their team was losing tho at half time. MY journaling reads:I don't know much about my great grandmother. Her name was Elizabeth & I think
she must of been a "hoot". The few pictures I have seen of her, she was always posing & hamming it up. I have some photos where she was serious too. I think she must have been the life of every party.The man on the left is my dad, the other is his brother my uncle Al.

I took a class last Saturday at Scrapaholics in Claremont,NH. We used a Kaiser Craft wooden canvas, used Adirondack paint dabbers, TH stamps, die cuts, & embellishments. I made that one for my son Jason, & today I decided to make another one for my hubby. The flowers are cut with the big shot using TH tattered flowers die & I used canvas to make them. & misted them to color. Top one is the one I did in class for Jason & his family, the bottom one is for Dale.

The thing I seem to be working on for most of my life is letting things go that is not in my control. I am a worrier, I worry about everything. I worry so much I had ulcers at the age of 14. I think it is from coming from a home with an alcoholic father, you knew every week-end & at every family event there was going to be trouble. So I think that is where it started. I would lay in bed every night & wonder how I could stop this madness. I couldn’t. but I still would not stop trying to control things, by being a perfect daughter. Doing well in school, doing what I was told to do. Not that it matter.

And it has carried on in my adult life, there are things that happen, that I can not stop or do anything about. But does that stop me? NO! I continue to worry until I drive myself & every one else around me crazy. Sad but true. Another thing I do, if some one is 5 minuets late I will start to worry about what happened. God forbid if they are fifteen minuets late, because then my mind goes right to a catastrophic event. I literally have to stop myself from calling hospitals to see if they are there

Such is my life & every day I have to remind myself, “let go & let God.

Here is the LO I did using those colors.

I backed my LO with black c/s, I cut the beige about 11x11, I used TH broken china distress stain to color the edge of my photo mat & around the outside of the mat. I used misc netting I have, seashells & sand dollar. The letter stickers are from Doodlebug. I hope I have inspired you to play along.
I will be having a random drawing for a $25.00 GC to a scrpbooking store of your choice, If you leave a comment here & if you haven't become a member of Scrapping the Moments do so today to be put into the drawing. I will draw the name Friday Sept 2nd.

I have been on vacation, met up with Cindy her friend Barb & my friend Donna came with me we went to Cape May NJ. Did a whale & dolphin watch, we didn't see any whales but saws lots of dolphins, we visited the boardwalk in Atlantic city, saw a few lighthouses & ate lots of good food. We had a fantastic trip.
Right now I am moving my scrap stuff out of my office & into a bigger room!!! Yipppeee!!! So I will be busy getting that done & won't get any scrapping done until the room is finished. I am hoping to be done by Friday.

I have been busy the last couple of weeks & next week is vacation!!! Yeah! I have been taking classes at Miss Arts Papercrafting school & I took this fab class by Julie Winks about layering. So here is my page for that class.
I gessoed & used texture paste to make the butterflies,Dusty Attic Framed that I used TH crackle paint & glimmer mist,Prima papers, TH ribbon film from my Swirlydoo's kit, TH tiny attacher, misc items from Miss Arts kits , misc lace & ribbon, and my sewing machine.

I used all Fancy Pants papers. Goggles cut with cricut with a SVG file I got from Lora the scrapbook lady.(thank-you!)

The photography challenge was to "Celebrate something Old"Pam wanted us to get photos of something old & do a LO with it. This was mine:
All Bo-Bunny papers Misc ribbon & doiley & pieces of spliced flim.
Here I have bits & pieces of my childhood from the 1950’s. These cans of film hold some of my most precious memories & I feel very blessed to have them.
I was given the projector, a few metal cases holding the film & an old brownie movie camera, from my mom.
In the 80’s I had them put on VCR tapes for my siblings & a tape for me. But I found I enjoyed watching them on the old projector.
I remember my dad getting all those lights out that just about blinded us & they also throw off a lot of heat. At the time, when I saw all that stuff coming out I thought oh no not again. But now I have a really good chuckle over it all & wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Memories are so sweet.

Friday Fast Trak will be back!!!

I will be posting a sketch every Friday night. I might not play, but for those of you who wish to play please do! It will stay the same, the sketch will be posted at 7pm EST & you will have until 9pm EST to have your page uploaded to our gallery & on the FFT thread.
As an added bonus for playing. once a month I will have a drawing for a 20.00 GC to a Cherry on Top, each week I will put down the names of the people who play. Your name will be put into the drawing for each Friday you play. At the end of the month I will draw a name. The DT will be able to participate in this too.
And yes on Thursday I will give a hint. I hope you enjoy the Friday Nights Sketches.
This will start on Friday June 3rd.

After my room was cleaned yesterday, I was feeling inspired & really wanted to try a technique I learned from the fabulous Stacy Cohen of crocheting on your pages. She was teaching this class at Miss Arts Papercrafting classes. Click on the blinkie to the right & it will take you there.
So I got out the yarn & gave it a try. I love the texture it adds to the page. If I use this yarn again I would only do 1 row. Of course I bought cotton yarn when Stacy said to get the softer yarn...DOH!!!!
Anyway here's my page. This was also done for a challenge at Scrapping the Moments.

I have been a bad blogger. I went away for 4 days to Maine with my besties for a mini vacay. Had a great time! Cleaned up my scrap room today, & after tomorrow will have some scrapping time. :) Hope you are all well!!

Hello, I am still here just really busy lately. I did this LO for a class I took at Miss Papercrafts school. And I did for the heritage challenge at the Moments.
I used Websters Pages Ladies & Gents & Webster embellishments.
The journaling reads: This is me, 5th grade at Bartlett School in Lowell,Ma. I went to this school from kindergarten to 9th grade. I loved this school, I loved being there. School was a safe haven for me.
Now for the bad hair-cut, my gram decided to give me a perm & left me under the dryer too long. Fried hair & a mother who wasn’t happy & had it all chopped off. It wasn’t funny at the time, but now I think it is hilarious!
