V-Day Flowers

I did a lo of the flowers my DH got me for V-day. They were really beautiful.
I used the kit from MCS.

gloomy day

Today is gloomy looking outside. Very gray with some rain & snow mix falling. I saw a technique at Scraps of Darkness that I really wanted to try. The Video was by Renea Harrison. Making a textured background using tissue paper, mists, & embossings powders. I really liked doing this.

New Challenges @ Scrapping the Moments

For my surprise challenge this month. I want you to use brads to make a shape on your page. I made some flourishes on my LO. I used Bazzil c/s ,MME Miss Caroline Howdy Doody PP,Prima flowers & K&Co alphas.I used a sketch from sketch savvy. The jounaling in the corner reads: Haley would you like some waffle with that whip cream? Hope you all enjoy your day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I got the Zutter Distrezz-it-All tool & wanted to try it out. Growing up in Lowell, Ma I learned about the Mill Girls back when the textile mills were booming. I have 2 great aunts that came with their family from Isle Du Pas, Canada so they could work in the mills. They recruited young girls from all over. The girls worked very hard & long hours. They would get room & board at the row houses & very meager pay. The pay was sent home to their families. The women did fight to get the labor unions in the mills. Any way I didn't have a photo of my great aunts Mariann & Flora working in the mills, so I d/l  one from google on the internet. I used Bo-Bunny & Prima papers. Hope you V-Day is special.

 

Sketch night @ the Moments

Yup every Friday from 7-9 pm EST we have sketch challenge @ Scrapping the Moments Here is my take on the sketch.

It was beautiful here the last couple of days! Yesterday I had a good mail day & I also shopped at the LSS Scrapaholics in Claremont,NH. I got my MCS kit & some of the Miss Caroline papers from MME that I order on line. Today I did the stash challenge @ the moments. Using some very old flowers from my stash. I stamped a little bird on my photo & embossed him. I hope you all enjoyed your day.

While my hubby was yelling at the TV yesterday, I decided to go to my scraproom & do a page. This is a pic of our 2 gds & my hubby. I love this photo of them.TFL

A boy page!!

This is a pic of my son's GF sons. We are so happy to have Maddox as a part of our family. He is the sweetest little boy & it means I get to try my hand a some boy pages! Hope you are all having a great day.
