QOTD

Melissa from SOL and Scrapz n Stuff has decided that she is going to start doing a question of the day....so I thought that I would play along with her. Here is her first question... ~Question of the Day~ What was your favorite gift received and/or given this year? As most of you know I have been part of the DW Calendar Girls @ 2 peas for the last 2 years. My DH buys me a calendar every year, this year he got me the coolest calendar with pics of older women & it's titled A year of wise & witty quotations on women. I love that calendar ,because it reminds me of the friendships I have made through the calendar girls!. And I am also enjoying the Wii we got.

Good day

I finally got to take my little fur-babies to the groomer!!! I had to cancel at least 3 appointments for them because of the snow. I have also had to cancel my hair appointments,too. And I need to get there so bad. So, please NO ONE pray or dance for snow until after tomorrow. I have a hair appointment then. And the gray is showing all over.
I am hoping to scrap this week-end if not before.

Yipee

I did manage to do a simple page last night & one today. I also bought a new trimmer by fiskars, it is the premium crafters trimmer, the base is 6" wide instead of the 5" of the older ones, it really works well & keeps it straight. It cost about 30.00, I'll post a picture.

Oh pooh!

I cleaned up my scrap table, put all the finished pages in the albums they go into. I wanted to scrap today, but I have no mojo flowing. I hate when that happens. So I decided to do housework instead & will try to scrap tomorrow.

Christmas Eve

The girls have been keeping an eye on Norad today watching Santa's trip. They love knowing where he is. They have had a busy day today. They wrapped their presents to their daddy & uncle, then they made cookies to leave for Santa. Haley keeps saying it's time to go to bed!!! It's only 7p.m. here. LOL.

I'm so excited!!

The announcement was made today at SOL For the new DT, I was picked!!!! Let me say that I was bouncing this morning when I read it on their blog. The SOL challenge blog puts up a new challenge every Tuesday, it is a different challenge each week. So make sure you check them out. The next new challenge will be revealed Jan 6th. Each time you enter your work for a challenge it will go into a drawing & each month there is a RAK, for the person who wins.

Thought I would post a couple of layouts I did yesterday & today. The one with the barn photo is a picture my friend Wanda from Washington state took of her barn in all the snow they have been getting. And the other is from our Polar Express trip.
No snow today, but my son & husband were still cleaning out the snow this morning before going to work. We got about 2' of snow.

Snowy Sunday

Well it started snowing Friday afternoon & it hasn't stopped since. Yesterday we ended up with about 12-14" of snow. It snowed most of the night & into this morning, but it didn't accumulate much. Now the snow is really coming down again & they say when it ends tomorrow we will have anywhere from 8 to 14 more " of snow. Is this paradise or what??? NOT!!!!!!!


Here is a Santa magic key tag I made. The tag inside the pocket reads:

Snow

We started getting snow about 2 p.m. today. And it is coming down hard & fast. We can get 5 -12" & there is another big one coming on Sunday. I know the weather has been bad all over the country, I hope you can all stay safe & warm.
It will be nice to have a white Christmas, but after that I hope there isn't any more snow or ice storms. I know wishful thinking.
I got all my errands done this morning, so I will be in all week-end & I hope I am scrapping.

Happy hump day

Woke up to about 3" of snow this morning & it is still coming down. So, that means since I haven't stopped cleaning & rearranging things since Sunday & my work is done.....I am having a scrappy day!!! Yeah for me. I will probably only get a few pages done, but at least I am doing my thing today.
I wanted to let you all know, my scrappy friends you should check out the monthly kits at scrapattack scrapbooking, SAS . They just starting doing the monthly kits about 3 months ago. And they are fab!!! Kits are a great way to scrap, all you need is your photos to make great pages. Laurie & Dria put up some great kits with wonderful embellishments with them. Whirlwind week-end

I am exhausted!
Saturday I took the girls to buy presents for the toys for kids drive & a few presents for their dad. Then it was Haley's b-day party at the Lanes & Games. We didn't get home until 6p.m.. In the meantime my son had finished the addition he was putting up here. So, we were all trying to get the new rooms set up for him & the girls.
Sunday we went on the Polar Express. They do this in WRJ & I would recommend this for anybody at any age. The girls just loved it! I would do it again. We came home & helped Jason get the rooms finished. So I now have my house back to some kind of normalcy!! And they are in bigger rooms now.

Ice storm

We only got about 3 -4" of snow before it turned to freezing rain & sleet. We lost our power during the night & didn't get it back until late this morning.
I was able to scrap a page of a picture I took yesterday of the girls & printed out. I have good light that comes into my scrap room from my window.
I also went out & got photos of the trees across from my house this morning, when we had a break in the rain.
But imagine how my morning was....NO COFFEE OR INTERNET!!!!!! Not a good morning.

Nor'easter

Will we are suppose to be getting a big storm. Starting today into tomorrow. It has already starting snowing here. The weather has gone from one extreme to the other this week. At the beginning of this week The high was 8 degrees, yesterday it was 48 & pouring rain. Today it's 27 & snowing.
Well no matter where you are & whatever your weather hope you are all having a good day.

Good afternoon

We woke up to snow this morning. We got about 2", but the temps are going up & it's suppose to rain. What a mess.
This morning I did a challenge for SAS & it will also fit for my DW Calender challenge too.
I got my new camera & Canon never disappoints. I started playing with it & took a picture of my page I did & a photo of my stained glass cardinals, Dale bought me last year.

Can't wait

I have been looking at this Canon SX 10 IS digital camera for a while. I love canon cameras, but wasn't sure if this was what I wanted. My friend Kim got one & posted some of her photos, they were great. So I finally order one & will get it this week. Can't wait to get my hands on this little baby.

I feel good!

I finally got to scrap today. That always makes me feel good. I did 3 layouts & have my Christmas cards already to mail out on Monday. So it was a good day. Hope you all had a good one too. Here is one of the pages I did.

Feeling Festive

today. I am wrapping presents, listening to Christmas music, have the tree all lit up. It would be a little better if it was snowing instead of raining, but I'll take what I get. I think I am also very happy as this means I will be able to get back in my scrap room, now that the presents are all out of there!! Yippee!!!!

Well I have been very busy this morning. Doing housework & paying bills(yuck). I am hoping to get in my scrap room tomorrow & get a few things done.
